This weekend was great! I decided to put my studying on the back burner and enjoy a nice weekend with Jordan and some friends. Despite wanting to sleep in on Saturday morning, we got up early and met one of my friends from medical school and her mom out in Lansing, KS to go to Fort Leavenworth for a base-wide garage sale. We shopped from 7-11:30 and found some amazing deals on baby stuff! It turns out that since many of these military families are so mobile, they buy what they need brand new for their baby and then need to get rid of it all when they move. As a result, we were able to snatch up some barely-used equipment for pennies compared to what they were purchased for originally. Among our precious finds are a yellow (my favorite color!) In-Step baby jogger stroller (MSRP $130), a Baby Einstein exer-saucer, a baby boppy pillow, a johnny jump up, a swing/vibrating chair combo, a shopping cart pad, door knob and cabinet safeguards, a number of toys and tons of Motherhood Maternity clothes for me! Wow! You got some great deals. Whatever you do, don't buy any baby clothes; between Jazlyn and Little John, your baby will have more clothes than he/she can wear! Make sure you google any used equipment you buy to make sure it hasn't been recalled.

ReplyDeleteit actually makes me feel better about brining him because then youll have a jumper to entertain him....and when you bring baby z to visit us we will have all the stuff to so you wont have to pack so much!! We are so smart to have our babes so close in age:)

we have the same johnny jumper and bath tub...both of them we like a lot and the tub transitions really well for when baby zucchini starts to sit up!
