What doctor-in-training gets two snow days in a row??? I'm so glad to still be a student!
I started my rural health rotation this month. It's a mandatory elective for fourth year medical students at KU, where students go to rural locations across the state and work in either Family Practice, OB/GYN or Pediatrics practices. I was assigned to Leavenworth, KS, which is about a 35-40 minute drive from our house and I was allowed to commute, since I have a dependent at home. I'll be working in a pediatrics clinic. I went on Monday and had a great time. The doc there is really thorough and obviously has a great rapport with her patient population. I will learn a lot from her about outpatient pediatrics.
While I was enjoying a couple of days off, I read a book for leisure (loving Jodi Picoult right now), crocheted myself a scarf, cleaned house, cooked meals and of course, played with Marshall. I even exercised both days! It's back to the grind tomorrow...
gosh, he is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI miss you guys :(
I second that - Marshallman is quite adorable! Glad you are safe and enjoying time off. My preceptor is AWESOME, one delivery down already! Miss you!
