Match Day Celebrations

On Friday, we had a few couples over for dinner to help us celebrate The Match. I made spinach and red pepper stuffed chicken, roasted red potatoes and salad for dinner. It was a great time!

On Saturday, we enjoyed a delicious, big breakfast, and then went on a long walk with the dogs. Marshall loves his red wagon that Santa brought him for Christmas. Then we went to the mall for story hour at Barnes and Noble, but Marshall wasn't too interested in sitting in one place to hear the whole story, so we left and went shopping. With residency to look forward to, I decided to get a nice pair of shoes (Danskos). Jordan and I ended up having our arches evaluated and decided to be fitted for orthotics as well. It was pricey, but I know my feet, legs and back will thank me for it later! Then we took Marshall on the carousel and went into Build a Bear and the Disney Store for Marshall to see some of his favorites. We showed him a giant stuffed Mickey Mouse, and he squealed with delight. It was amazing. Then we shared a pretzel and headed home. After lunch, we all took a 2 hour nap and then went on a run as a family. After dinner we relaxed and enjoyed a game of Yahtzee and some homemade butterscotch oatmeal cookies. It was a fabulous way to celebrate!

Marshall learned how to say "Cheers" with his sippy cup:
