Our growing boy

This weekend we realized that Marshall really isn't a baby so much anymore; he's definitely transforming into a toddler.

We took him to the Fort Leavenworth garage sale on Saturday, and his fussy mood was probably a result of us waking him up at 5am and he missed his morning nap time. But, despite this, we made off with some great finds: an external frame backpacking backpack carrier, a cool sled, a swing for the backyard, a bike carrier attachment, an adorable fleece peacoat, an activity table, tons of books and puzzles and Legos, and a couple of pairs of shoes.






On Saturday evening we went to the Plaza Arts Festival and Marshall seemed so interested in the grilled artichoke we were enjoying that we let him try some- he LOVED it! We also let him try some of our ice cream that night too... his favorite foods as of late are black beans, string cheese, pears, cheerios, and bananas, but he pretty much eats what ever we're eating.

On Sunday we went to church, and the theme was "change." During the childrens' moment, the pastor asked the other children if they remembered when Marshall was just a little baby, or when he was inside Mommy's tummy. It was so amazing to think of how much he really has changed. Here we are cuddling on Sunday morning, while watching Handy Manny:



After church visited some friends of ours who just had a baby boy of their own. Marshall had a total meltdown, complete with back-arching and screaming, when Jordan and I took turns holding the new baby. As soon as we left their house he was totally fine. Jealous, much?

In the evening, we took him on a 8-9 mile bike ride on the trail by our new house. He had such a fun time looking around and feeling the wind blow on his face. Doesn't he look adorable in his little helmet?
