What does your Fall look like? Mine looks like this:



That's right- residency interviewing season is going to be crazy! I ended up applying to 6 programs in Child Neurology and 15 programs in General Pediatrics. I've heard back from 5 of the Child Neuro programs, and 11 of the Gen Peds programs so far. I might not end up keeping all these interviews for Gen Peds in the end, but I'm scheduling them for now. I was so worried about how I was going to be able to miss so many days between October, November, December and January if I were rotating each of those months, but I was so delighted to find out yesterday that I had miscalculated how many credits I still needed to graduate and I am actually able to take November off! So, I'll be bouncing around from city to city and I'll be gone for 3-5 days each week that month. That will sure be hard with Marshall, but that's what Skype is for! Thank goodness he has such a good Daddy and daycare.

Here's the itinerary (some of the Child Neuro interviews are two days long):

Nov 1-2: Wash U in St. Louis
Nov 3-4: SLU in St. Louis
Nov 8: U of Iowa
Nov 10: KUMC
Nov 11-12: UT Southwestern
Nov 15-16: Children's Mercy, Kansas City (!!!!)
Nov 20-27: Playa del Carmen, Mexico! (No, no, not an interview- Jordan's taking me on vacation!)
Dec 8: U of New Mexico
Dec 16: U of AZ Tuscon
Dec 17: Phoenix
Jan 6: Creighton (Omaha)
