We couldn't have made off with all these great finds without the help of our amazing friends, Courtney, TJ and Mary... not to mention their vehicles! :) We had a great lunch together afterwards too. Marshall was a great sport throughout the whole day. We were so proud.
Wow--Fantastic!!! You are such a smart shopper! Wish I could have joined in on the treasure hunt. You got so many clothes that I don't see how Marshall can even wear them all!
ReplyDeleteFunny story, actually- we spent the morning picking up a few things here and there, but then, when we were walking back to the car, we passed by a guy who had several queen-sized blankets covered in clothes, one of which was for boys 6-12 months. We pawed through the pile, picking out a few things, and he said, "Hey, how many items do you have?" I told him 11, and he said, "Well, I've been charging $1 per piece, so that'd be $11 at the standard going rate, but I'll tell you what- you can have everything on this blanket for $20." There were probably 150-200 pieces of clothes sitting there... how could I pass it up?? Plus, most of the pile consisted of brands like Ralph Lauren, Gymboree, The Children's Place, etc., so I knew we were getting an even more amazing deal. Some of that stuff doesn't fit him (too small) and there was stuff up through 4T, so he can't wear all of it right now, but it was still a great deal.
ReplyDeleteHold onto all those "too small" things - you or someone you know might need them soon!
ReplyDeleteyup, Heather, that's what we figured! There were also a couple of random girly items thrown in there too. :)
