There's something special about when babies wake up in the morning. Some people might think I'm crazy for doing so, but I frequently wake Marshall up in the morning so that I can spend a little time with him before I have to leave for the hospital. Every time I wake him up, he stretches, opens his eyes, and flashes me a huge smile. When was the last time you woke up and thought, "Oh my! Another day! This is wonderful! And, my mom is still here!"? Most of the time when I wake up, I hit snooze several times and begrudgingly get out of bed, complaining that I'm SO tired. When Marshall wakes up, he's excited and happy and it just warms my heart.
awwww.. I loved those little early morning baby stretches too. Every new picture of Marshall is cuter than the last. He is the sweetest!
ReplyDeletejust wait till he talks to you, I was just telling someone today how i love it in the morning when he lays there with his big toddler butt up in the air head in pillow and he talks and talks and presses his bear and tries to sing his ABC's
ReplyDeletemakes the start of every day great!
Ah yes, I remember all that sweetness. I also remember trying to wake up a teenager, but I won't go into that. Enjoy your baby. It is a sweet time.
ReplyDeleteYes, enjoy this sweet, sweet baby time; because before you know it, he will not be so happy when he has to wake up.
ReplyDeleteIf he's anything like I was as a kid, which I'm guessing he will be, he'll love getting up in the morning and we'll frequently find him awake watching infomercials or cartoons, or outside building some huge monstrosity out of scrap wood that he insists is a battleship.
