Yesterday I had another ultrasound when I went in again for the fetal heart tone/brain wave study. According to the crude measurements taken at that time, we measured at about 32 wks 4 days +/- 2 days (we're 32 weeks today), and the baby was estimated to weigh 4 lbs 7 oz +/- 11 oz. HOLY COW! At my next OB appointment on the 16th they're going to remeasure our fundal height and if it's measuring ahead of schedule, they're going to do their own ultrasound to make sure we're not having Gigantaur Baby. The baby was kicking like crazy during the ultrasound and it seriously looked like he/she was pushing back against the probe. While I usually try to post pictures that make Baby Z look less like an alien and more like an adorable baby, I had to post this picture. It's of his/her foot, sideways. You can see the bones of his foot, and if you look closely, you can even see his/her TOENAILS! How awesome is that?? I've drawn a picture to help you get oriented.

Here's a bummer.... I... found...
stretch marks. I actually wouldn't care if they were on my abdomen since, um, DUH, I'm supposed to be (and am) growing there, but unfortunately these ones are located on my inner thigh on my right leg. GROSS. Jordan's been really reassuring, saying that "they're not that noticeable," but I still feel crummy. Oh well; it's part of the game.
On all other fronts, the pregnancy continues to go splendidly. I'm starting to have more and more dreams about the baby and I'm getting anxious for his/her arrival!
it looks like a runners foot ;)
ReplyDeleteyes, unfortunalty stretch marks are part of the deal :/
but we can be marked together!!!
I love the foot pic! Ah stretch marks. Try thinking of them as your battle scars. They do fade eventually.
