Our anniversary

This weekend Jordan took me to the Lake of the Ozarks to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We stayed at a beautiful resort called the Lodge of the Four Seasons in one of the new condos. We enjoyed a number of fruity wonderful (and in my case, nonalcoholic) beverages by the pool. We hiked around the beautiful Ha Ha Tonka State Park for two hours and learned some interesting history. We went on a two hour lunch cruise on the biggest boat on the Lake, an 80 foot boat, complete with a lunch of pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans and potato salad, just like the meal we shared at our summer afternoon wedding five years ago. We toured a family-friendly resort to scope out the options for when we return with the kids sometime and we went on a lovely winery tour. They had 12 different wines all of which Jordan was able to taste for only $7 and we got to keep the glass! We brought a couple of bottles home to enjoy later... maybe around Thanksgiving? :) We shared a wonderful dinner together at a nice steakhouse and slept in a king-sized bed without a toddler kicking us in the face while we slept in. It was a much-needed and well-enjoyed vacation!
