The countdown continues...

...until the match results are in! On the evening of Wednesday, January 26th, the SF Match representatives will begin contacting program directors across the country notifying them of the match results. Program directors are free to contact their resident-applicants once they learn this information, and most people should find out on Thursday, January 27th. However, if they haven't heard anything, they can't call the SF Match until Friday, January 28th to learn to where they've been assigned. I have heard very promising things from my top choice, so keep your fingers crossed! Only 8 (best case) to 10 days to go!

Marshall is so excited, he's been jumping for joy:

And we've been documenting the evolution of his dance moves. Here's his newest way to get-down:

I've had much more time off during this rotation, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, since it's an outpatient elective, which has been great, especially with regards to how much time I've gotten to spend with Marshall. We went to the mall this weekend and he got to ride the carousel!

Here's Marshall in the Moby wrap I got for Christmas. It's basically an 8 yard piece of jersey cotton that you wrap around yourself in a variety of ways to hold your baby close to you. Marshall sometimes just wants to be held, and this helps take some of the weight off my back and biceps and allows me to be hands-free if necessary. It's marketed for use with babies up to 35 lbs, so we'll be able to get some good use out of it.
