Dream schedule

It truly does seem that everything about this pregnancy is going according to some master plan. I ended up getting not only one of the preferred clinical tracks for 3rd year, but the exact track that I wanted! That means I get 11 weeks off for maternity leave and I get my most difficult (read: time consuming) rotation out of the way before baby comes! Here's my schedule:

Internal Medicine 6/29 - 8/22 (8 weeks)- this is the worst... only 4 days off in 8 weeks! :(
Family Medicine 8/24 - 10/17 (8 weeks)
Maternity Leave 10/18 - 1/3 (11 weeks off!!!)
OB/GYN 1/4 - 2/13 (6 weeks)
Pediatrics 2/15 - 3/27 (6 weeks)- my area of most interest
Geriatrics 4/5 - 5/1 (4 weeks)
Psychiatry 5/3 - 5/29 (4 weeks)
Neurology 5/31 - 6/26 (4 weeks)
General Surgery 6/28 - 8/21 (8 weeks)- this one I'm actually making up with the class behind me since I will have taken it off in November/December of 2009 for maternity leave.

In other news, I started exercising regularly again. I was nervous to run, thinking that all that jostling and bouncing might hurt the baby. Despite what many sources say regarding continued running in pre-established runners, I just wanted to be safe, rather than sorry. So, I've started swimming, using the eliptical machine and stationary bike at the gym. It's going great!

I felt really nauseous for the first time today. We'll see if that's morning sickness making its first appearance...
